From February 14th to 16th at 20:00, a large-scale rain, snow, and freezing weather occurred in most parts of China, affecting 19 provincial-level power grids including Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Hubei, Anhui, Hunan, and Chongqing within the operating area of State Grid Corporation of China. A total of 114 110 kV and above lines, 44 35 kV lines, and 1379 10 kV distribution lines tripped, and 2.218 million customers in 39935 substations experienced power outages due to the disaster. The company resolutely implements the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping to strengthen the maintenance of urban lifelines such as water, electricity, gas, and heat, effectively enhances its political stance, strengthens its sense of responsibility, and mobilizes the entire company to do a good job in power grid operation, power supply, emergency repair, and other work, providing strong power guarantee for winning the battle against epidemic prevention and control. On February 13th, the company promptly issued a cold wave warning notice, strengthened operation and maintenance, and prepared for emergency repairs. From February 14th to 16th, the company held multiple emergency consultation meetings and video conferences to comprehensively investigate the power grid, equipment operation, and important customer power supply situation. Combined with epidemic prevention and control work, detailed arrangements were made to strengthen special patrol maintenance, implement emergency repair measures, and do a good job in on-site safety control, making every effort to restore power supply to affected equipment and customers.
