On February 28th, workers were carrying out tower assembly work at the construction site of the Qinghai Henan ± 800 kV high-voltage direct current transmission project in Zeku County, Qinghai Province, at an altitude of 3700 meters. On the same day, in Yixian County, Baoding, Hebei Province, the construction site of the Zhangbei Xiongan 1000 kV high-voltage AC project was also tense and orderly... As of the end of February, nearly 1900 power infrastructure projects with a total investment of over 100 billion yuan by State Grid Corporation of China had started construction and resumed work.
In the face of this "big exam" to fight against the COVID-19, State Grid Corporation of China resolutely implemented the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, coordinated the epidemic prevention and control, reform and development, and successively issued 30 measures, clearly proposing the requirements of "no less than 50% of the project construction will resume before the end of February, and the project construction will resume in full before March 15, except Hubei" to accelerate the pace of commencement and resumption, actively drive upstream and downstream industries, serve the "six stability" work with practical actions, and promote economic and social development.
Major engineering projects such as ultra-high voltage and pumped storage power stations, which have attracted much attention, have started and resumed construction in Qinghai, Hebei, Shanxi, Henan, Shaanxi, etc. As of February 28th, the length of the resumed transmission lines for State Grids 35 kV and above power transmission and transformation projects is 45843 kilometers, with a substation capacity of 261.95 million kVA, and a resumption rate of 58.4%. The target task of resuming project construction by the end of February has been completed ahead of schedule by no less than 50%.
Major power projects have large investment scales, long industrial chains, and strong driving forces. The company has researched and introduced "twelve measures" to fully restore construction and promote enterprise resumption of work and production in response to the impact of the epidemic, formulated "ten measures" to accelerate the resumption of power transmission and transformation projects, and promoted the resumption of nearly 100 billion yuan of power infrastructure construction, actively stabilizing social expectations and development confidence.
