Southern Power Grid reported that in the spacious power equipment testing center, an unmanned automatic guided transport vehicle took out an automated ring network switchgear from the warehouse and automatically and orderly circulated between different testing stations along a preset route. This is the primary and secondary fusion testing system for distribution network automation ring main unit. "Li Shunyao, Senior Manager of the Testing and Research Institute of Dongguan Power Supply Bureau of Guangdong Power Grid Company, introduced that the bureaus power equipment testing center was put into operation on July 31, which is the largest fully intelligent equipment testing center of Southern Power Grid Company and the first time that the distribution network automation ring main unit primary and secondary fusion testing technology has been used at the municipal level in China.

During testing, the testing personnel only need to press the button, and the automatic guided transport vehicle will automatically retrieve the equipment from the warehouse according to the process design, send the automated ring network switchgear to different testing stations, and complete all primary and secondary testing items at once without the need for manual wiring replacement. At the same time, real-time test reports will be generated and automatically uploaded to the storage and testing integrated platform, achieving "one click ordering" testing.

It is reported that in order to strengthen the quality control of power grid equipment entering the network, the bureau established the first city level power supply bureau distribution network equipment inspection mechanism as early as 2013. However, there is still a problem of insufficient detection capability in distribution network equipment inspection, and it is urgent to establish a centralized, independent, and highly automated testing center. To this end, the bureau has collaborated with multiple departments to establish a fully intelligent equipment testing center in ***************. It is reported that the center includes two main sections: the testing hall and the main control building, with a construction area of over 1700 square meters, equivalent to the size of four standard basketball courts. The testing hall is divided into 13 electrical testing stations, 1 insulator testing laboratory, and 1 cable material testing laboratory according to their functions. The testing scope of the center covers 15 types of electrical materials such as distribution transformers, switches, transformers, lightning arresters, cables, and 10 types of materials, totaling 25 types of materials. It can complete more than 100 testing projects, meeting the sampling plan and industry benchmark quantity requirements. In addition, the testing center comprehensively utilizes information and standardization technologies, innovates testing modes and methods, and has the technical means and experimental verification capabilities required for simulating experimental conditions and analyzing equipment failures.
