State Grids 2015 plan for the construction speed of the "Six Crossings and Eight Direct" ultra-high voltage project exceeded expectations

On January 16th, the 2015 work conference of State Grid Corporation of China pointed out that it plans to invest 420.2 billion yuan this year, mainly to carry out the interconnection and intercommunication of ultra-high voltage and power grid.
It is reported that the construction of ultra-high voltage by State Grid in 2015 exceeded previous expectations. State Grid plans to approve the construction of a total of 14 lines under the "Six Crossings and Eight Straight Lines" plan this year, which is much higher than last years "Six Crossings and Four Straight Lines" plan.
The specific plan is to approve the start of the "two communication" projects in the first quarter, including the Mengxi Tianjin South, Nanheng Weifang AC, and Jiuquan Hunan DC; In the second quarter, the "Three Direct" projects were approved for construction, including Ximeng Jiangsu, Jinbei Jiangsu, and Shanghai Temple Shandong.
In the second half of this year, it is planned to approve the construction of the "Four Connections and Four Direct" projects, namely the Mengxi Changsha, Jingmen Wuhan, Changsha Nanchang exchange, Zhangbei Nanchang, Jindongnan Yubei, Nanyang Zhumadian exchange, Nanjing Xuzhou Lianyungang Taizhou exchange, Jinan Zaozhuang Linyi Weifang exchange; And the Hulunbuir Qingzhou, Mengxi Wuhan, Zhundong Chengdu, Zhundong Wannan DC projects. In addition, State Grid plans to complete the feasibility study of the "One AC and Four DC" ultra-high voltage project by the end of 2015, including Batang Yaan Chongqing Mianyang Dege Batang, Yaan Mianyang AC and Zhalute Zhumadian, Yazhong Hengyang, Shaanbei Nanchang, and Jinsha River upstream Jian DC. At the same time, State Grid Corporation of China also announced the acceleration of the back-to-back DC interconnection project between Southwest and Central China power grids, as well as the approval progress of key 750kV and 500kV projects and ultra-high voltage supporting projects. In addition, four international ultra-high voltage DC preliminary works will also be carried out.
