Revision of National Standard GB/T2900.20 "Electrotechnical Terminology - High Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment"

According to the work arrangement of the SAC/TC 65 National High Voltage Switchgear Standardization Technical Committees standard revision plan, the National Standard Revision Working Group for GB/T 2900.20 "Electrotechnical Terminology High Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment" was established and the first working meeting was held in Xian from March 24th to 27th.

The current version of the national standard GB/T2900.20 "Electrotechnical Terminology - High Voltage Switchgear" was released and implemented in 1994, and this standard is no longer applicable to the development needs of the high-voltage switchgear industry. The revision of this national standard has modified the inaccurate expression of existing terms, and added new product and technology related terms (isolation circuit breakers, bypass switches, transfer switches, solid sealed poles, intelligent switchgear, compact switchgear, etc.), and changed the standard name to "Electrical Terminology High Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment".

The conference also held the establishment and first working meeting of the national standard revision working group for JB/T 8754 "Method for Model Compilation of High Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment". Similarly, the current version of the mechanical industry standard JB/T 8754 "Method for Model Compilation of High Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment" was not released and implemented in 2007, and can no longer meet the needs of high-voltage switch industry manufacturers to apply for model requirements. The revision of this industry standard mainly focuses on the addition of model designation methods for new products.
