On July 17, 2014, under the joint witness of President Xi Jinping and Brazilian President Rousseff Dilma, Liu Zhenya, Chairman of State Grid Corporation of China, and Costa, President of State Grid Corporation of Brazil, signed the "Brazil Beautiful Mountain Ultra High Voltage Transmission Project Cooperation Agreement" at the Brazilian Presidential Palace. This marks the first time that Chinas ultra-high voltage transmission technology has crossed borders and entered the international market.
